We have flown five regional contests since last report on the 2014 IAC regionals a month ago: Can-Am in Cut Bank, Montana; Upper Canada Open in Tillsonburg, Ontario; Hoosier Hoedown in Kokomo, Indiana; Kathy Jaffe Challenge in Lumberton, New Jersey; and Beaver State in Pendleton, Oregon. IAC Chapter 88 and Contest Director Brian Roodvoets hosted the Michigan Aerobatic Open in Jackson, Michigan on the weekend before the Fourth of July. They flew sixteen competitors in four categories, Primary through Advanced Power.
You can take Amtrak to Ephrata, Washington. You can walk to the airport from the station. But, better to land with your aerobatic airplane and participate in the Apple Cup.

At its spring 2013 board meeting, the IAC board of directors approved a set of changes to U.S. National Aerobatic Championships contest operations; they take effect this year. These changes mostly affect pilots flying in the Advanced and Unlimited Power and Glider categories.
