Adams (IAC 1999) learned to fly by training with his father and helped pay for college by dusting crops in a 450 Stearman. He served in the Marine Aviation Cadet program in Pensacola, flying A-4D Skyhawks, and eventually began a 32-year career with Northwest Airlines. Read moreThis year 22 proposals, evaluated by the eight member Rules Committee, were recommended to the IAC Board of Directors for adoption into the 2019 Rule Book, and an additional three rules proposals were conditionally recommended if indicated changes were included. Of these, 11 were approved. Approved proposals have been sent back to the Rules Committee for inclusion in the 2019 IAC Rulebook.

For the last two years IAC has hosted their merchandise on the EAA Shop site. Recently EAA did an upgrade on on their site and the arrangement of items has changed from what has been in place previously. The clothing is no longer divided up into divisions such as, Warbirds, IAC and Vintage. When shopping the site now you will see categories of clothing such as Mens, Womens, Kids, etc.

Seventyeight of the the nation's best aerobatic pilots came together during the week of September 22-28 at the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to compete for national championship titles. Offical pre-contest practice began on Friday, September 21 and the first day of competition flights began on Saturday, September 22.
