GIVINGTUESDAY—December 1, 2020 is a global day of generosity, which emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection even while practicing physical distancing. A Special Meeting of the Board of Directors was called on 21 September 2020. A number of items were brought up on the teleconference including questions pertaining to the limited contest season due to COVID-19.

Some questions and issues specific to the contest season that had arisen and were discussed by the board on this call;

     Rule Change Proposal process. It was decided that the regular process will proceed forward. Proposals are being accepted through November 11. Members must submit their comments to this address:  RulesChair [at] iac.org.

Every month IAC's e-newsletter, In the Loop, includes exclusive articles which are posted online for the enjoyment of IAC members and non-members alike. Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic which resulted in the unprecedented shutdown of so many of our recreational activities, a number of IAC members have queried the IAC leadership on possible fundraising to bolster the IAC's bottom line in this fiscal year. We appreciate that sort of caring and concern and have now added an online option so that members who wish to do so may direct donations to the IAC's General Fund via our website, IAC.org.

The deadline for submission for IAC members to propose changes to the IAC Official Contest Rules for the 2021 contest season was July 1st. These proposals have now been compiled by IAC Rules Chair Doug Sowder. A total of 25 proposals from the membership were received. A PDF with all of the rule proposals is available for download below.
