Seventyeight of the the nation's best aerobatic pilots came together during the week of September 22-28 at the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to compete for national championship titles. Offical pre-contest practice began on Friday, September 21 and the first day of competition flights began on Saturday, September 22.

Read moreThe WAAC is complete. The USA has done very well. Individual medals were received in all Unknowns with Aaron McCarton taking Gold in Unknown 2, and Matt Dunfee taking Bronze in Unknown 1 and 3. Overall, two members finished in the top 10 and as a Team they received the Silver!

With deep sadness we share the news of the sudden passing of Mark Fullerton, IAC #434474, of Calhoun, Georgia.
Mark was a member of IAC 3 and frequent Contest Director for the Bear Creek Bash in Georgia. He started his aerobatic career with Michael Church of Sunrise Aviation. In recent years, he earned a place as a member of the 2014 and 2016 U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Teams. Again, he earned a spot on the 2018 U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Team as Alternate and subsequently was named Manager of the 2018 Team.

These have now been compiled in a 53 page document by IAC Rules Chair Brian Howard. Altogether, 46 proposals from the membership were received.
