The Board of Directors met last night (Oct 20, 2022) and set the dates for the 2023 U.S. National Aerobatic Championships.
Practice and contest dates will be Thursday, 21 September to Saturday, 30 September 2023.
Mike Heuer was appointed 2023 Nationals Contest Director.
This is a reminder that the deadline of October 26 is quickly approaching to send in your comments on the 2023 rule proposals.
The submission deadline for IAC members to propose changes to the IAC Official Contest Rules for the 2023 contest season was July 1st. These proposals have now been compiled by IAC Rules Chair Barrett Hines. A total of 27 proposals from the membership were received. Read moreRob Holland, IAC 27724, of Nashua, New Hampshire, continued his dominance of the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships last week, sweeping to his 11th unlimited category title in the competition at Salina, Kansas. In the final results posted from the championships, International Aerobatic Club president Jim Bourke IAC 434151 placed second in the unlimited category, with Goody Thomas IAC 23015 finishing third.
Congratulations to the 2023 Advanced Team Members:
Marty Flournoy, Marco Bouw, Don Hartmann, Matt Dunfee, Mike Ciliberti, Brittanee Lincoln, Kyle Collins and Michael Lents. Team members will compete at the 15th World Advanced Aerobatic Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 24 to November 4, 2023.

Read moreMT Propeller has requested the FAA issue an Airworthiness Directive (AD) with the goal of locating and updating the small number of propellers that have not yet had MT SB 30 accomplished.
This only affects a very small population of selected MT prop manufactured between late 2013 and 2014. These props may contain lag bolts in the blade roots from a run that did not meet the standards demanded by MT-Propeller.
If your MT Prop s/n is between 13XXXX and 14XXXX, you need to check the SB 30.pdf document to see if your prop s/n is included. See attached below on this page.
