At their meeting in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on October 17, 2024, the IAC board of directors approved the recommended Known Compulsory sequences for both power and glider categories for the 2025 contest season.

The 2025 proposed sequences were presented by the sequence committee lead by committee chair, Rob Holland. The committee recommended using the same Primary Known from 2024.

All sequences went through the 30-day member comment period with a total of 6 comments sent to the committee. Comments were:

WATCH LIVE VIDEO AND NEAR REAL-TIME SCORES!

US Nationals officials will be providing Live YouTube streaming of all the daily flying at the US Nationals from Salina Kansas. Watch the IAC YouTube Channel streaming channel here:

Danny Bond recently passed away (August 12, 2024) after a battle with ALS. Danny was a long-time IAC Chapter 19 (North Carolina) member, and the recipient of the 2022 Curtis Pitts Memorial Trophy.  His contributions to IAC were significant.

IAC Policy and Procedures Section 229 (which governs the Sequence Program) provides the proposed sequences to be available for member comment. Feedback must be received by September 25.  

PDFs with the 2025 Power and Glider proposed Knowns are available for download at the bottom of this page. 
 
All members are invited to review the proposals and provide feedback.  The sequences have been flown by the appropriate aircraft for each category.

The 32nd FAI World Aerobatic Championships came to a close on August 24 with the Closing Ceremony and a Farewell Party. Congratulations to USA Team Captain Rob Holland on finishing up with an overall third place bronze medal and reclaiming the Four-minute Freestyle championship (Now his sixth time winning the prestigious award.)

"I'm pretty happy with my results leaving with A Gold medal in the Freestyle, Bronze overall in the "Classical" and 2 Silver and one Bronze Flight medals. It has been a crazy few weeks to get here", Rob wrote on his Facebook page.

Linda has stood on the podium at World Aerobatic Championships many times representing the United States in her career. Her international finishes were impressive with a 4th place at the World Aerobatic Masters Tournament in 1984 and a 3rd place female at the 1994 WAC in Debrecen, Hungary, 5th overall, and consistent and numerous individual flight medals. 2025 Rules Proposals - Deadline August 31


UPDATE 8-16-2024 
Rule change proposals are received in different forms, which can make it challenging to interpret what the submitter wanted to offer.  This year, it was found that the proposal 2025-1 we published was quite different from what the submitter intended.  Since we want the input to be fairly evaluated as it was meant to suggested, we are now are now publishing the corrected version for review and feedback to all members.  As for the other proposals, we would appreciate…

At the IAC's Annual Meeting held on Friday, July 26 in the Vicki Cruse Memorial Pavilion during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh the newly elected officers and directors were announced.

Re-elected were: President Jim Bourke, Secretary Sara Arnold,  Director Marty Flournoy, and Director Doug Bartlett. Welcome new director Shad Coulson.

Voting for the 2024 IAC elections closed at approximately 6:00p.m. CDT July 23, 2024.  A total of 351 ballots were cast. We thank everyone who took the time to vote for the leadership of the IAC. The officers began their term, July 26, 2023.
