At their meeting in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on October 17, 2024, the IAC board of directors approved the recommended Known Compulsory sequences for both power and glider categories for the 2025 contest season.
The 2025 proposed sequences were presented by the sequence committee lead by committee chair, Rob Holland. The committee recommended using the same Primary Known from 2024.
All sequences went through the 30-day member comment period with a total of 6 comments sent to the committee. Comments were:
- All sequences look good, and reasonable.
- Bring the total K up higher in Advanced
- Modify the Advanced sequence to up the K and difficulty.
- Sportsman was easier than last year.
- Sportsman was fun to fly.
- Unlimited was very flyable in a Giles G-200.
Taking comments into consideration, the Sequence committee didn't feel the proposed sequences need to be modified from what was presented to the IAC membership during the comment period. The committee proposed the board to accept the sequences as presented. The board approved the proposed sequences for 2025.
The committee also presented information on what aircraft were used to test fly each proposed sequence.
