IAC is asking for your input in what you want in a new website. IAC has a dedicated task force set up for this project, but we need your help. What information do you want on the website? How do you want information displayed? Is there a website you like a lot? Tell us about what you like about it. This is wide open, so please provide your input. The only place comments will be reviewed is at IAC’s Unusual Attitudes Forum here.

Aerobatics legend and International Aerobatics Club Hall of Fame member Betty Skelton – the “First Lady of Aerobatics” – died at her home in Winter Park, Florida, on Tuesday at the age of 85. Skelton was a pioneer as a female aerobatic competitor and air show performer, winning the U.S. National Female Aerobatic Championships for three straight years (1948-1950). She also made the Pitts Special airplane famous, as her performances in her “Lil Stinker” created a market for the biplane designed by Curtis Pitts. That airplane is now part of the National Air and Space Museum collection.

On August 2, 2011 fellow IAC 52 member Jason Flood suffered multiple injuries as a result of a banner towing accident in Egg Harbor Township. Jason has been admitted to Cooper University Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. He has undergone multiple surgeries to date and has many more to come. CP Aviation, Inc. has awarded an Emergency Maneuver Training (EMT) scholarship at CP Aviation, Inc. to an aspiring young pilot, Kelsey Lomen, 18 years old, of Eagle Rock, CA.

The flight school, based in Santa Paula, is known throughout the world for their specialized training curriculum, originally developed in 1987. CP Aviation is the home of two Master CFI-Aerobatics, who have also been awarded National CFI of the Year by the FAA, Rich Stowell (2006), and Judy Phelps (2011).
