IAC Trophies in the EAA Aviation Museum

A number of IAC's U.S. National Aerobatic Championship and volunteer trophies are housed in two cases in the IAC Pavilion on the EAA AirVenture grounds. The EAA Aviation Museum contains various sections dedicated to the various forms of flight. On the south west side of the musuem there is an entire area dedicated to Air Racing and Aerobatics. From time to time the currators set up special displays, retire items, rearrange displays and bring in new items.

This week five IAC trophies were placed in a trophy case in the Aerobatics section. The five trophies are;

The Mike Murphy Trophy, which is awarded to the U.S. Unlimited National Champion.

The Betty Skelton Trophy, presented to the highest scoring woman competitor in the Unlimited category.

The Frank Price Trophy - a volunteer award which recognizes the person who has contributed the most to the sport of aerobatics in the previous year.

The Robert L. Heuer Judges Award, which recognizes outstanding performance as an aerobatic judge during the contest year.

The Kathy Jaffe Volunteer Award, given to an outstadning volunteer during the previous year.
