Thursday, May 21 - All-day
Arrivals, official practice & pilot check-in. Lunch from Golden Prairie Delights delivered to the main hangar at 12:30 ($12 for sandwiches, chips, drink and cookie).
6:00–9:00 PM – Street Dance: 80’s Night with band ‘Loaded Dice’. Corner of 21st & East A, Downtown Torrington.
7:00 PM – Pilot Welcome Party at Open Barrel Brewing Company, hosted by Wayne and Heidi Forbes. Pizza, salad & karaoke. 1930 Main Street. Arrive as early as you’d like for upstairs game room fun! Pizza served at 7.
8:00 PM – Opening Ceremony (benediction by Pastor Hollywood Hayden, Unlimited Team USA intros, Team Challenge Captains, live draw). MC: Kelly Sittner. At street dance Corner of 21st & East A, Downtown Torrington.
Friday, May 22
7:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Official practice.
8:00 AM: Wing WAGS breakfast at Cobblestone Hotel & Suites, hosted by Heidi Forbes and the ladies of the Wing WAGS Social Club.
11:30 AM: Contest Kickoff lunch brought to you by HolySmokes BBQ. At the main hangar.
12:30 PM: Opening Briefing, main hangar.
2:00 PM: Contest flying begins (Known sequences).
7:00 PM: Spaghetti Western Themed Party, hosted by Torrington Bible Study, main hangar. Fun western attire is highly encouraged!
8:00 PM: Blackjack tournament with hostess Ydi Alonso, main hangar. Top four winners will choose their dream team.
Saturday, May 23
7 AM Morning Brief
8 AM - 7 PM: Competition flying (Known, Free sequences) *with live radio broadcast.
Lunch: TailSlide Tailgate food trucks.
6:30–8:30 PM: Public viewing of airplanes.
7:00–8:30 PM: Cowboy Church “Faith Takes Flight,” Pastor Hollywood Hayden, music by Kristina Hayden. Hostesses Trenna Drum and Dawn Avent. Near 2025 Tailslide Poster mural.
Sat night: Free night. Some food trucks remain after church or visit some other fantastic local spots.
Sunday, May 24
7 AM Morning Brief
8 AM - 7 PM: Competition flying (Known, Free sequences) *with live radio broadcast.
Lunch: TailSlide Tailgate food trucks.
6:30–8:00 PM: Silent Auction with hostess Maria Boerboon.
7:00–9:00 PM: Torrington “Tailslider” BBQ, hosted by Kelly and Aleata Sittner, First State Bank.

Monday, May 25
8:00–11:00 AM: Public viewing of airplanes.
9:00 AM: 4-minute freestyle performances by qualifying Unlimited pilots, Sagebrush & Roses Auction Winner flight, special flights.
Followed by: Contest awards, Team Challenge Awards, Dean McClain Western Spirit Award (sponsored by Lift Aviation, presented by Chris Kleinhenz), crowning of 2026 Torrington Tailslide Rodeo Queen (by Jedda Lusk), sponsor recognition. Hostess: Rhonda Trautman. MC: Wayne Forbes.

Pilots are requested to submit all Free Known (UNL) and Free programs via email to: TorringtonTailslide@gmail.com no later than May 15.
We will prepare our scoring system in advance. This saves time on site if we can load Free Known and Free programs before the start of the Torrington Tailslide.
Please submit your freestyle in Adobe PDF format.
You can submit individual forms (ie, A, B, C) or a single PDF containing ABC's.
Hard copies are traditionally sufficient, as well.
