We'll sponsor a three-day pre-contest practice period from Monday, 17 August, through Wednesday, 19 August. The contest box will be available from 0800-1800 daily. Please e-mail Bruce Mamont at mamontb@comcast.net if you plan to attend the pre-contest 17-19 Aug practice days.
The Port of Ephrata has leased the two hangars we were expecting to be available for the contest. There's ample free tie-down space, but no chains or lines to secure airplanes. Bring chocks and other equipment to tie your airplane to a cable anchored to the ramp.
IAC 67 will have a small supply of oil available; there's no FBO at Ephrata Airport.
Advanced and Unlimited competitors will fly "Unknown" sequences for both Flights 2 and 3 instead of a "Free" for Flight 2 and and an "Unknown" for Flight 3.
Sportsman competitors will have the option to fly the Known sequence for all three flights or a Free sequence for Flights 2 and 3.
Intermediate competitors will fly a Free for Flight 2 and an Unknown sequence for Flight 3.
Practice opportunities will also be available during the 20 August Contest registration day.
Hertz has established a satellite rental office at the Ephrata Municipal Airport. Contact Bruce Mamont at the e-mail address above to reserve a car from the Hertz Wenachtee branch. Consider becoming a Hertz "Gold" member.
