There’s a new EAA chapter in Canada — specifically IAC Chapter 137 in Alberta, which is the first IAC chapter in Canada since IAC 4, Toronto, Ontario and IAC 18, Vancouver, BC in the early 1970s. It’s been a long time coming for the Alberta chapter due to some distractions that the group has had to face. The founding president is Neill Cook, EAA 1090385. The Regional Series awards the top placing participants in each of the six U.S. regions who fly in at least three IAC sanctioned contests during the year.  (U.S. Nationals may be used as a "wild card" as one of the three contests flown.)

With two more contest to be flown November 5-6 at Sebring, FL (SE region), and 11-12 at the Tequila Cup in Arizona (SW Region), the current leaders in all the other regions below have flown all available Regional contests.…

Reminder to review and comment on rules proposals received the week following the U.S. Nationals

 IAC Policy and Procedures Section 221 (which governs the Rules Program) allows additional rules proposals to be submitted in the week following the Nationals contest to address issues encountered there. The submittal period is now closed but 18 more proposals were received to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming 2022 rules. A PDF with the new proposals is available for download below.

The IAC is seeking a volunteer to serve as Contest Director at the next IAC U.S. National Aerobatic Championships, which is expected to be held in Salina, KS from October 2 to 8, 2022.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and experience as a regional contest director.

The international governing body for aerobatic competition, FAI Aerobatics Commission (CIVA), has announced that their next meeting will be on November 19-21.  The meeting was originally planned to be held as a face-to-face meeting in Dallas, Texas, however CIVA has announced that due to travel complications the meeting this fall will take place online.
