Grass Roots Achievement Flight Medal

Sporting the image of J.G. "Tex" Rankin, a pioneer in aerobatics at the grassroots level, the International Aerobatic Club's "Grass Roots Achievement" Flight Medal acknowledges the IAC's commitment to grassroots development of the sport.  Sponsored by Textron Lycoming, the Grass Roots medallion is awarded to the highest scoring pilot in any category, measured in overall percentage, flying an aircraft with 180 hp or less, or more than 180 hp if the 75% cruise speed is less than 125 mph, at any regional contest. 

                                                      

 

 

 

   
     
American Champion Aircraft Flight Medal
 

The International Aerobatic Club's American Champion Aircraft Flight Medal is given in recognition of the IAC's commitment to the grassroots development of the sport of aerobatics.

The silver tone medal depicts a rolling Decathlon sporting the classic starburst paint scheme on the wing on the front and the ACA logo on the back.
Sponsored by American Champion Aircraft, the medallion is awarded to the highest scoring pilot in any category, flying an American Champion Aircraft airplane at any Regional or National contest.
   
     
     
 Highest Scoring Biplane Medal

The International Aerobatic Club's Highest Scoring Biplane Medal is awarded to the highest scoring pilot in any category, flying a biplane of any make or model at any Regional and National contest.

The medal was conceived by IAC Chapter 61 led by chapter president John Housley. Sponsorship was secured from Aviat Aircraft for a medal supply spanning seven years. 

The medals are available upon request to IAC headquarters.
