The board of directors met by teleconference in a special board meeting on May 22, 2020, to discuss changing the date of the IAC annual meeting. In previous years it was held during the last days of AirVenture; however, with the cancellation of AirVenture 2020, different arrangements were required.
After consulting with EAA's legal adviser, Dave Goelzer, on several points, the proposal to move the annual meeting to August 1, 2020, to be held at Timmerman Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at 2 p.m. CDT was moved, seconded, discussed, and approved. Officers required to attend are the president, treasurer, and secretary, and all others are invited to attend as they wish.
Our IAC executive director, Steve Kurtzahn,is setting up a Go to Meeting conference call-in number that can be accessed by computer or phone. The number can accomodate up to 150. A message with the call in number will be sent out a week prior to the meeting.
The annual meeting agenda typically lasts about 30 minutes and includes a report from the IAC President, an overview of the IAC operations; membership, report on AirVenture, update on Nationals planning and any upcoming initatives. The Treasurer's report is then presented with a summary of the prior fiscal year, overall revenue and expenses experienced and expected. At the conclusion of the meeting the elections results are announced and the new officers and directors assume their duties.
