IAC 2018 AirVenture Forums Announced

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 will include a full roster of forums at the IAC’s Vicki Cruse Educational Pavilion. The forums are scheduled daily from Tuesday, July 24, through Friday, July 29, 2018, and run for approximately one hour and 15 minutes each. Special guest Dan Rihn will give a forum on Wednesday morning titled “The One Design DR-107: The Origins and Legacy,” as part of the type’s 25th anniversary celebration at AirVenture. Philipp Steinbach will talk about building the Gamebird GB1 the same morning.

A fanastic lineup of aerobatic and unusual attitude forums throughout the week will be kicked off by Dagmar Kress of the Metropolitan State University, Denver on Tuesday with her forum entitled, "Basic Elements of Aerobatics". You won't want to miss Michael Church on Thursday when he let's us in on the changes in the overall FAA approach to flight testing, in his forum titled, "Slow Flight, Stalls, and the FAA.

Thinking of building your own aerobatic capable airplane? Budd Davisson will let you know if  homebuilt vintage biplanes is a way to do aerobatics on the cheap or if they are a financial black hole on Thursday. For those who like gaming, check out Jim Bourke's forum on Friday about new technologies for flight simulators and aerobatics .
