Make plans now to attend the first contest of the year. Hosted by Chapter 89 Leeward Air Ranch, the contest will be held at Marion County Airport (X35) in Dunnellon, FL. The box will be open for practice beginning Monday, April 2nd. Registration will be open beginning Wednesday afternoon, April 4th.

Contest dates are Thursday, April 5th through Saturday, April 7th. All categories power and glider will be flown. Any glider competitors please contact Kevin Campbell at 469-766-2364. Registration fees are $125 for Primary and $150 for all other categories. The registration fee includes lunch on Friday and Saturday. There will be a mandatory briefing for Advanced and Unlimited pilots at noon on Thursday, April 5th. Advanced and Unlimited will fly the Known on Thursday afternoon. There will be a mandatory briefing for pilots of ALL CATEGORIES at 8:00am on Friday, April 6th.

Rental cars are available at the Ocala airport (OCF). Call Avis 352-237-2714 or Enterprise 352-861-2528. Banquet will be Saturday evening at the airport after all flying is done. There is plenty of hangar space available on a first come, first serve basis.
A Pitts S2B will be available for rental during the competition and practice. $100 per flight - competition or practice (limited to 30 minutes). Includes fuel and parachute.
Solo qualifications: 750 TT, 250 tail wheel, 25 M&M - plus check out by Rocky or Walt.
If not qualified for solo, bring a qualified safety pilot or work something out with Rocky.
