<p><strong>GETTING HERE:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Saint Augustine is located on the northeast coast of Florida, south of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Airport (JAX) is the closest airport with commercial service to us, and is about a 45-minute drive to St. Augustine.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>FLYING PRIVATELY</strong>:</p>

<p>If you are flying into KSGJ we are located on the NE side of the airport at Southeast Aero Services, the US Extra Dealer and Cirrus and Cessna Maintenance Center. You are welcome to taxi directly to our hangar but if you require hangar space or fuel or will be here for an extended period of time, please arrange with Atlantic Aviation, at&nbsp;<a dir="ltr" href="tel:904-824-1995">904-824-1995</a>. They can also help you with car rental.</p>

<p>There are a lot of hotel choices in the area. St Augustine also has many charming B &amp; B&rsquo;s in the downtown area. Unless you&rsquo;re here for an extended stay or your family is with you to take advantage of the beach, we recommend you don&rsquo;t stay in St. Augustine Beach as it&rsquo;s a longer drive to our airport. <p><strong>ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR, Jim Bourke</strong>:&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jim&#39;s aviation interests go back to his childhood. He loved airshows as a kid and earned his pilot&#39;s license as a teenager. He is an avid enthusiast of radio controlled models and drones. He has appeared on the Discovery channel and has made many media appearances related to aerobatics, aviation, and radio control.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jim&#39;s company Knife Edge Software makes simulation products including the popular&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realflight.com/"><em>RealFlight</em></a>&nbsp;simulator. He is an active leader in the flying community and currently serves a member of the IAC Board of Directors as the Membership Chair. Jim also created&nbsp;<a href="http://www.rcgroups.com/">RCGroups.com</a&gt;, the world&#39;s largest website for enthusiasts of radio controlled aircraft.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As a competitive aerobatic pilot Jim flies at the highest level, the&nbsp;<em>Unlimited</em>&nbsp;category. He is the most active competitor in the country, averaging 10 contests per year from Washington to Florida. Known for his aggressive style Jim is a top-ranked freestyle pilot and a nationally qualified aerobatic judge. He holds over 75 flight medals, and 26 first place finishes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Since 2017 Jim has been a member of the Unlimited US Aerobatic Team which competed in two World Aerobatic Championships in Malelane, South Africa in 2017 followed by Chateauroux, France in 2019. Only the top 8 pilots are chosen from the US National Aerobatic Championships to be part of the team.&nbsp;</p>
