Annual Meeting

We have just returned from the IAC Annual Meeting at Sun ‘N Fun in Lakeland, Florida and would like to report the following news on IAC Elections. Please join in welcoming and congratulating your new Officers and Directors – May I present:

Allyson Parker-Lauck – New Vice President 395 votes
Tom Adams – New IAC Director 360 votes
David Martin – New IAC Director 373 votes
Jim Taylor – Returning IAC Director 370 votes

We had a very nice Annual Membership Meeting with somewhere between 80 and 100 members present. Ann Salcedo, our Nominations Chairman announced the results of the IAC Board of Directors. During the meeting the name change was also presented to the membership in attendance. Finally a challenge was made to each member in attendance – to find one, just one new member. If all our members do this, we would have over 10,000 members.

Following the Annual meeting it was time to kick back and have a little fun. Our 2003 Sun ‘N Fun Membership Reception was sponsored by Falcon Insurance and the beer was donated by Bernie Little Budweiser Distributor. Members stayed for a couple hours after the meeting just having a good 'ole time.

Our new Aerobatic USA merchandise, is selling very well – I can't help but think that the new patriotic look has something to do with it. Our WAC merchandise has also sold out. These are positive signs and I'm encouraged.

Thank you Ann Salcedo, Bunk & Diana Chase, Jim & Jean Taylor, Sigrid Baumann (USAF), and Lisa Popp for working long, hard, and hot hours for us at Sun ‘N Fun this year – it’s a ton of work and our presence there is important. The tent was busy all week-end and each of you kept the enthusiasm going. Thank you! If any of you members get a chance, please thank these people for their great effort for the organization.

Lastly, I would like to thank Dave Monroe, Mike Maloney, and Tom Myers for their great work on behalf of the membership of the IAC. It's been an honor to serve with each of you.

Best Regards to you all,
Gerry
