At a meeting earlier today the IAC Board of Directors approved the glider known programs submitted by Sequence Chair, Mike Lents.
At a meeting earlier today the IAC Board of Directors approved the glider known programs submitted by Sequence Chair, Mike Lents.
Mike has been working with the Known Sequence Committee members and individual glider pilots to forumlate the sequence.s Jason Stephens and Eric Lenz were instrumental in the development of the sequences. The glider groups requested that the Advanced and Unlimited sequences be based on the CIVA figures to help the few that do fly at that level practice for World Aerobatic Championships. There was also good feedback and recommendations to increase safety with Sportsman and Intermediate.
At the morning meeting the board also approved Mike's recommendation to replace the Advanced Power known sequence. What was originally approved by the sequence committee was not what was presented to the board at the Fall Board meeting. The the correct sequence, which is more favorable to all aircraft trypes, is now posted as revision 2.
