Michael is an instructor at the University of North Dakota in the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences – Department of Education. He regularly shepherds a number of eager students from UND at IAC contests throughout the Central states

Join Michael as he delivers an engaging forum based on his experiences in transitioning from a Decathlon to an EXTRA 300L.

Michael has been a full-time CFI for several decades, amassing more than 12,000 hours dual given, much of it teaching aerobatics. He is an IAC National judge and a professional competition coach.

The forum centers on managing engine malfunctions directly following takeoff in light singles.
