For those IAC members who are serving as National Judges at the US National Aerobatic Championships next week, please note that according to IAC policy, you must attend a Judges Refresher Course at the contest site. This year's course will be held at 11:30 am, Sunday, September 21st, at the airport. Just ask any contest official for the exact location. The course will be administered by Charlie Harrison, Unlimited Chief Judge and judges school instructor.
The Chairman of the Judges Program, Greg Dungan, has prepared an excellent 30-question written review that will accompany the course and concentrates on areas of importance and changes in the rules in 2014. That written review is attached below in PDF for download, so Judges can begin work on the review before their arrival.
In addition, pilots and any IAC members who would like to learn more about the rules or are intersted in the areas of emphasis for Judges this year are invited to download the test. We will provide the answer key to the test after the Sunday briefing.
Our aim is to provide the best judging we can at Nationals and the course helps answer questions before the flying gets underway on Sunday afternoon.
