We are a GO for the third edition of the Redlands Aerobatic Cup.
Practice & registration - Friday, Sept. 1, 09:00 to 19:00
Contest flights - Saturday & Sunday, Sept 2-3, 07:00 briefing both days
The Redlands Aerobatic Cup will be Five Category contest with a Four Minute Free category if we have Unlimited pilots wanting to fly it. The judging line is located on the airport itself with the box just north of the runway. REI has self-serve fuel, plenty of tie-downs, and a spacious, air conditioned lobby that is a welcome relief from the late summer heat. We are looking into hangar space this year, but won’t know until closer to the date.
Redlands Municipal Airport is tucked up against the mountains, providing usually calm winds for a 4500′ x 75′ runway. The airport management have experience with aerobatic events as the site of the Hangar 24 Airfest for several years and a long-standing aerobatic practice area to the northeast. Hopefully we won't have a repeat of record heat, actual dust storm, then thunderstom of 2022!
Chief Judge this year is Bob Meyer.
