Ohio Aerobatic Open - Converted to a Training Camp/Practice Day
First, we want to thank everyone for their interest in the Ohio Aerobatic Open! IAC Chapter 34 appreciates your enthusiasm for the sport of aerobatics. And we are especially thankful to all of the judges that answered our call for help. We would actually have enough competitors and judges to make a contest work out at this point.
However, as it turns out we ran into an unforeseen obstacle. The airport had a summer project to resurface a lot of area around the FBO and ended up starting late which we just found out about. About half the ramp is now unusable, and in addition space in the large hangar we use for the contest was unexpectedly taken up by various local tenants looking for a hangarage. So we can only accommodate 4-5 airplanes at a time at the most.
With these limitations we find it necessary to cancel the contest. Planning is in process for a Training Camp/Practice Day(s) and we will be updating our website with further details: https://chapters.eaa.org/iac34/event-calendar.
