We are sorry to say that it’s official, we had to cancel the Lone Star Contest.
We were waiting as long as we could, but finally admit that it’s still not quite safe to hold it. We had every AirBnb Place in Breckenridge reserved so were ready to party, but the good news is that all the houses are excited to have us next year! We’ll plan for about the second week of May 2021!!
However….stay tuned, we still have the SUPER D TANGO planned for JULY 11th!!! It’s the 1 day, 1 airplane type, 1category SUPER FUN Contest!!!
Also….we plan to hold practice days for flying and judging!!!
And, ya never know, if a date comes available in the fall, we may just try to hold a Fall Lone Star!!
Come to beautiful west Texas and win the popular Lone Star belt buckle admired by all. This is our second year at this location and the Breckenridge Airport and Chamber of Commerce are excited that we are back. This contest is part of the Texas Series Championships to include Early Bird in Edna, Tx 26R on April 2-4 and the Hammerfest Contest in Llano, Tx KAQO on October 15-17. The cool banquet will be on Saturday night so don't plan on going home early. You will miss the fun.
