4.17.3: This contest is a one-day, one flight contest intended to entice new competitors who for various reasons cannot commit an entire weekend to attending a full contest.
Competitors will fly either the 2019 Primary Known program or the 2019 Powered Sportsman Known Program. Terrain under the Aerobatic Box does not allow us to guard the lateral boundaries of the box. Therefore we will not guard the box boundaries.
We allow any level competitor to fly this contest, but for competitors above the Sportsman category we implement a handicap system as follows:
Sportsman pilots are not handicapped.
For Intermediate pilots we want to apply a handicap of 75 penalty points. The Chief Judge will mark 1 Missed Briefing penalty and 5 Interruption penalties.
For Advanced pilots we want to apply handicap of 120 penalty points. The Chief Judge will mark 1 Missed Briefing penalty and 9 Interruption penalties.
For the Unlimited pilots we want to apply handicap of 150 penalty points. The Chief Judge will mark 1 Missed Briefing penalty, 1 Boundary penalty, and 9 Interruption penalties.
The Scorer can simply enter these penalties into JasPer and we should get the desired output of the software.
