Walter Extra, chief designer and founder of the Extra Aircraft company in Germany, will attend EAA AirVenture this year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin as the guest of IAC. Walter is coming to Oshkosh as a part of the gathering of Extra owners and pilots which is part of IAC’s activities this year at aviation’s largest event.

Evan Peers of San Carlos, California assumes the duties of editor of the International Aerobatic Club’s monthly magazine, Sport Aerobatics, with the April issue of the magazine. Evan has served as IAC’s official photographer since 2015 and has provided photo coverage of EAA AirVenture and the US National Aerobatic Championships in 2015 and 2016.

The award was conceived and donated by L. Paul Soucy of Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Soucy was one of the first members of IAC and the Board of Directors. His purpose was to recognize not only skilled pilots but also those who supported a minimum number of contests as well as the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships.
