* Flown for patch

The untold story in this report is that in Intermediate, 1st was an Extra, 2nd a Super Decathlon and the next 3 were Pitts S-1S. What was the last time you saw a Super Decathlon score 87+ overall in Intermediate? Since I got to fly 1st in the known, 3rd in the free and 1st again in the unknown (I assume by lot) I never got to see Joe fly but it must have been pretty. Way to go Joe. All in all a great contest thanks to the hard work of the Chapter 26 gang and other chapter supporters. Chapter 49 won the team trophy (any of the 49 troops out there want to archive it let me know).

LOOK OUT NATIONALS HERE COMES CALIFORNIA
Chapter 26 put on another successful contest, 44 power and 3 gliders pilots did an outstanding job in spite of 107 deg. heat on Sunday.
One of many trophies was with new wrinkle devised by MARTA MYER. Highest percentage scoring pilot with zero outs and no zeros. JEFF BOERBOON, advanced category winner won the trophy out of three who qualified .Here are the results provided by DENNIS EARNST.
