Congratulations to Brian Branscomb IAC 434600 and Dave Williams IAC 436366 for being the first to earn certification as IAC Regional Judges in the 2015 season.  Both attended last month's Palo Alto, CA Introduction to Aerobatic Judging course taught by Doug Hansmann and Dave Watson.  Dave immediately passed the Regional Judge exam with a score of 92%.  Brian posted a 90%.  With Brian and Dave having already accomplished their required Assistant Judge field experience during the 2014 competition season, Tom Myers and Dave Watson administered the Oral/Practical final exam.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the first test flight of the Pitts S-1, speakers at the IAC Pavilion will cover subjects in their forums that are "Pitts-Centric". Forums will be ongoing from Tuesday through Saturday (July 21-25) that will delve into all areas of the airplane and the aerobatics for which it is known.
