At the IAC fall board meeting November 11-12, Rob Holland was named as the 2023 Sequence Program Committee Chair after a unanimous vote from the board.

Rob assumed the duties of sequence chair upon confirmation. One of the jobs of the sequence chair is to provide Unknowns to regional contests. If you would like more information about the committee or would like to submit Unknown sequences for 2023, please contact Rob at aerialadvantage [at]

At the IAC fall board meeting, November 11-12, Jordan Ashley was confirmed unanimously as 2023 AirVenture Chairman. This will be Jordan's second year as AirVenture Chairman. Jordan marks 2023 as his 28th year at AirVenture and 15th year as a volunteer.

The Board of Directors met last night (Oct 20, 2022) and set the dates for the 2023 U.S. National Aerobatic Championships.

Practice and contest dates will be Thursday, 21 September to Saturday, 30 September 2023.

Mike Heuer was appointed 2023 Nationals Contest Director.

This is a reminder that the deadline of October 26 is quickly approaching to send in your comments on the 2023 rule proposals.

The submission deadline for IAC members to propose changes to the IAC Official Contest Rules for the 2023 contest season was July 1st. These proposals have now been compiled by IAC Rules Chair Barrett Hines. A total of 27 proposals from the membership were received. A PDF with all of the rule proposals is available for download below.  Although organized some to assist with their evaluation, these are listed essentially in the order received...

Reminder - the deadline to give your feedback on the proposed 2023 Known Sequences is this Sunday, October 23.
IAC Policy and Procedures Section 229 (which governs the Sequence Program) provides the proposed sequences to be available for member comment for the next 30 days. PDFs with the 2023 sequences are available for download below.  
All members are invited to review the 2023 proposed sequences and provide feedback. You can address any or all, but make sure to reference the individual sequence (s) you are commenting on;

Rob Holland, IAC 27724, of Nashua, New Hampshire, continued his dominance of the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships last week, sweeping to his 11th unlimited category title in the competition at Salina, Kansas. In the final results posted from the championships, International Aerobatic Club president Jim Bourke IAC 434151 placed second in the unlimited category, with Goody Thomas IAC 23015 finishing third.
