Chapter Team Trophy

    Origin
The Chapter Team Trophy is required by "IAC Official Contest Rules" to be presented to top scoring Chapters at IAC-sanctioned competitions. It has been in existence since 1971 for the IAC Championships and since 1982 at the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships.

    Criteria
The trophy is presented in accordance with "IAC Official Contest Rules". Currently, those rules call for the trophy to be awarded the Chapter whose top three (3) members, regardless of category, achieve the highest average score, in terms of percentage of points possible. That percentage is based on all flight programs in that category. In the event of a tie, those Chapters' next highest placing competitor's scores will be used.

    Procedures
The name of the winning Chapter is provided the Contest Director by the Scoring Director after the contest is completed. The recipient's plaque is ordered by the Executive Director along with the other trophies for the IAC Championships and U. S. Nationals. No Chapter name or number is inscribed.

    Presentation
Recipient trophies consist of a plaque. There is no master trophy on display at the IAC Pavilion but there are master plaques displayed there for the IAC Championships only. Since so many years are involved, two plaques currently exist. The recipient plaques are presented at the annual IAC Championships and U. S. Nationals awards banquets.

    Trophy Photos
No photos of the master plaques of the winners of the Chapter Team Trophy at Fond du Lac currently exist as there are two on display at the IAC Pavilion, of different styles.
